The EmbedX access system decides who passes a door, gate, or turnstile, and keeps the event. One controller coordinates the readers and locks. Access Manager holds the credentials, schedules, and incidents.
System
What it includes
Readers and locks sit on an RS-485 bus. The EmbedX controller covers up to four doors and four readers, makes the access decision, and reports over Ethernet. Access Manager is the operator host.
How it is built
- Wiegand readers and encrypted OSDP v2.2 readers on the same controller.
- Magnetic locks and electric strikes, with door contact, request-to-exit, and emergency release.
- Optical and mechanical turnstiles for lobbies and staff entrances.
- Optional ANPR vehicle lanes, and ONVIF video tied to the access event.
Where it fits
- Office, suite, stairwell, plant-room, and perimeter doors.
- Campus, stadium, and secured staff lanes.
- Vehicle gates that should open from a plate read.
- Sites that need time schedules, anti-passback, and an audit trail.
